The report on the Safeguarding Audit

The report on the Safeguarding Audit which took place in the diocese in Autumn 2022 has now been completed.

I attach the report for your attention.

Thankfully it is a very positive report.

It will soon be published on our diocesan website.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the many people who assisted in any way with the audit.

I also wish to thank our Safeguarding Officer Philomena Lynch and the Diocesan Safeguarding Committee for their work in preparation for the audit and for their ongoing work in ensuring that high standards of safeguarding are maintained in the diocese.

Thank you for your own commitment to safeguarding.

May we all continue to be aware of our obligations in this regard and work to create the highest standards of safety for our children and vulnerable adults.
